Chimney becomes "dragon"

www.chinanews.cn 2005-03-14 15:13:02

March 11th is a traditional Chinese festival of the lunar calendar; the
day, which celebrates the coming of spring rains, literally translates as
"the dragon raises its head this day." A beautiful coiled dragon scene
that depicts two dragons playing with a pearl and was constructed out of
a standing scrap chimney, opened to citizens in Jingchanghe Park in
Henan's Baofeng. The 35-meter-high coiled-dragon pole has two dragons of
different vivid colors twisting around it. The work attracted numerous
citizens, becoming a destination for walkers enjoying the first days of
spring.
