On January 30th (local time), an opening ceremony was held for the New
York Asian Art Museum, which was housed at the Asian Cultural Center in
the heart of Manhattan. The art museum would focus on displaying artwork
by eastern artists and increasing awareness of eastern culture and arts
among westerners. The Chinese cultural counselor to New York Shu Xiao
(third to the right), director of the Asian Cultural Center, Ai Bing
(third to the left) and American photographer Douglas (first to the left)
cut the ribbon in the opening ceremony for the art museum.
