www.chinanews.cn 2005-03-30 14:03:30

(March 29) Li Dinggong, living in Nanjing's Bailu District, is engaged in
"treasure ship" manufacturing. To commemorate the 600th anniversary of
Zhenghe's Expedition to the West Seas, the 81-year-old man has made five
"treasure ships" since 1998. All his ships were made from expensive teak
at the price of 14,000 yuan per square meter. The most complicated ship
took Mr. Li three years to complete.
